Subliminal Audios/Music

Although not actually required music is a great tool for relaxing and can help enhance the hypnosis experience. Although everyone is different and may vary a great deal in what your likes and dislikes are you are in my opinion better to listen to either New Age, Classical, Natural Sounds or similar, rather than Heavy Rock, POP or RAP.

However saying that, if you really can't stand all the usual relaxation style music and you do in fact genuinely use the likes of Eminem, Queen or Lead Zeppelin etc to relax then so be it... ! the whole purpose of using music is to let your Mind wonder and loose yourself in it, however you do not want to get involved in it and end up singing along!!

How To Use Audio Entrainment CD's.

For most people, we suggest you move to a quiet area where you are undisturbed. A spare room, your home office ( with the phone ringer off ), your bedroom, etc.
Begin by using some basic relaxation techniques. If you are sitting, do not cross your legs or arms. Sit upright, not slouched. Try slow, deep breathing - concentrating on each breath for about 5 minutes. Empty you mind - this is not always so easy. Focus your attention on nothing - the blackness you see when your eyes are closed. Remember - nothing in life is that important it can't wait - excepting medical emergencies - it'll be there when you're finished with your session.

Begin playing the audio cd at a moderate volume. You want to concentrate on the repetitive beat frequencies and think about nothing else. Let your mind drift while focusing on the tones/music, you will not be aware of the subliminal messages that are embedded within the audio as they are at frequencies below the level of human consious hearing, the audio is just a way of masking the carrier wave/beats, You may want to hear the tones, but not for them to be overbearing, as the tones alone can be quite soothing and hypnotic in themselves!
The most common issue associated with listening is falling asleep. Listening while you are tired may have this effect - which in many cases isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some cd's are designed to do just that.

These are examples of the music that I commonly use for Self Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy sessions.

These are examples of typical music people use to chill out to. But there are thousands to choose from!
